The Wickaninnish Inn and Pointe Restaurant have received some of the
worlds most prestigious designations and awards by distinguished
hospitality rating organizations. They honor the Inn and restaurant
and tell the story of the unusual elements that make this natural destination
Inn a top travel choice.

Just one and a half short years after opening, the Inn was
named as a Relais & Châteaux property. The designation was unusual
as it occurred well ahead of the normally required three-year operation
period for consideration.
The designation honors the Inn as one of just over 400 hotels and restaurants
in 45 countries throughout the world which uphold the Relais & Châteaux
quality charter of the five Cs-character, courtesy,
calm, charm and cuisine.

In the recent edition of Ann Hardys comprehensive guide
to Canadas best restaurants (1999/2000), the Pointe Restaurant
received the top rating of three stars, one of only a handful
of restaurants to make the mark.
The guide, now 28 years old, stands alone in its category.
All reviews are conducted anonymously and all meals are paid
for. As Ms. Hardy states, No one can buy his way into
this guide and no one can buy his way out. We tell the truth
exactly as we see it.
