Corporate Retreat

The team at the Wickaninnish Inn is unconditionally committed to provide our guests with a memorable world class experience; unequaled by any coastal inn from Mexico to Alaska. We make that same promise to groups and organizations.

Conference Services Coordinator, Shawna Gardham , and her staff are ready to attend to the needs of special groups and corporate visitors:

“We are hospitality oriented. We know that each group is unique and we want to provide an experience that is custom made — not just something off a list or menu. So we start by talking to the client, exploring their needs, perhaps suggesting a few possibilities. It’s our job to facilitate the entire experience.”

That does not simply mean getting things organized inside the Wickaninnish Inn. We tap into into the surrounding community for opportunities — services or events — that might complement the group’s experience. We want our guests to enjoy an experience that they cannot get anywhere else in the world.

The facilities of the Wickaninnish Inn as well as its unique location lends itself to an amazing variety of functions. Shawna Gardham looks back, a sense of accomplishment in her voice:

“We’ve done weddings. We’ve done beach barbecues. We’ve done meetings, art shows and silent auctions. We’ve done encounter groups and yoga classes. We’ve done gala dinners. Recently we hosted a “Chef’s Table” event. A group came out for three days and spent their time taking lessons from our Chef de Cuisine. Special meals. Special wines. The works.”

“Quality and attention to detail is something we aim to provide for all our guests. The sky is the limit — we never say “no” to our guests. We can provide light service receptions, buffets, gourmet dinners. Every event, from beach cookout to wedding banquet, has a custom menu designed by our Chef de Cuisine.”

Facilities for groups and organizations include a hospitality suite and the Salal Room, which is ideal for executive meetings, incentive groups, social events and retreats.

The Salal Room dimensions are 21' 6" in width by 33' 6" in length with a 9' ceiling which can accommodate a maximum of 75 to 80 people for a reception, 60 for dinner, 30 in a classroom setup and 24 in a U-shape arrangement. Of course with natural lighting and outdoor views it is an exceptionally comfortable room and very suitable for much smaller groups as well.
