Hot Springs Cove

The Hot Springs, located about one and a half hours north of Tofino, are situated right in the heart of pristine Clayoquot Sound, giving you the opportunity to experience these warm soothing waters with a spectacular view over the lush rain forest and open ocean.

Many of Tofino’s charter companies run at least two daily trips to Hot Springs Cove, where you will be dropped off for a stay of 2 to 3 hours. A 2 km boardwalk through the rain forest will bring you to the Hot Springs, where there is a changing room and facilities for your convenience. To ensure your visit to the springs is a great one we recommend taking a lunch (the Inn offers backpack lunches to go) and also taking your camera, a pair of hiking sandals or water socks and of course make sure you bring your towel and suit.

Soak in the hot pools or move further down to the ocean front where the cold sea water will mix with the hot spring water – it will be one of the most relaxing experiences of your life.

A favourite option for travel to the hot springs is a ‘go by boat - come back by float plane’ service that is being offered in the summer only and is available for booking through our Guest Service Representatives. Visiting the Hot Springs in the winter is highly recommended, but due to occasional rough sea conditions, trips may not be available every day.
